Mourvatis Aggelos has graduated from the Thessalonica Physical Education University, practises however the profession of musician. After working in conservatoires of the city of Xanthi he has henceforth created his own Musical Laboratory where he delivers courses of electric guitar. He works as musician-professor 15 years in total. Provided that he is a free professional he has the possibility of performing in a lot of concerts in various parts of Greece. It is 37 years old and lives with his family in Xanthi. He has in the asset 4 records and attendance in the collection Rock Files 2 that circulated in 2000-1 from MBI RECORDS. Also exist 2 video clips from the songs Ikones Nekres (Dead Pictures) of his first disk and Taxidi Sto Fos (TRAVEL IN the LIGHT) from the second record.
The first disk is titled Psihi (SOUL) and circulated from the PA.KE.THRA. (DEVELOPMENTAL CENTRE THRACE) via distribution of LAZY DOG 1998. The second titled FAIRY TALE OF JOY AND SORROW was published in 2000 from LAZY DOG. The third disk is named GOOD MORNING, and was distributed also from Lazy dog to 2002. Then Aggelos signed to Encore Records and published in 2005 the cd `NEVER BREAK A WINDOW IN THE WINTER' which, in his bigger part is instrumental. Their live appearances are plenty and in a lot of parts of Greece. Among them the most important are the appearances with DEEP PURPLE, ALAN PARSONS, SOCRATES, GILBY CLARKE, DOUG DOPPLER, ALKINOOS IOANNIDIS, PYX LAX, TSOPANA RAVE, MASKES, MAGIC DE SPELL, XYLINA SPATHIA, IPOGEIA REVMATA, DIAFANA KRINA and many more? This time has come for him to prepare the material for the next cd which will be recorded sometime in the summertime of 2007 and it will include both instrumental tracks and tracks with vocals. ?It is the 5th artistic attempt by Aggelos Mourvatis, following the acknowledged instrumental album ?Never break a window in the winter?, songs from which were broadcasted by dozens of radio stations both in Europe and America.Joining forces with John Jeff Touch (winner of various European ?Best New Artist? awards and has worked with bands outside Greece), has led to the creation of COSMICRAY, a pop-rock band, singing in English, songs ready to hit the airwaves numerous times!!! Pop melodies, catchy choruses and excellent guitar work come together and create the album ?LOVE IS?, hitting the stores around the end of October.Just listen to the self-titled track ?LOVE IS? and your fingers will spontaneously push the ?repeat? button.? |
